On 21 April 2012 Alpha hosted a 24/7 Alpha Prayer Workshop at St Margaret’s Church in Witbank. There were 3 churches represented that want to actively mobilise prayer and evangelism in Witbank and the surrounding areas.
Prayer and evangelism go hand-in-hand, and prayer is foundational to a living and personal relationship with Jesus Christ, so it is vital that we become a praying people and develop a culture of prayer in our churches. The ultimate vision is to mobilise an army of praying people as we seek the face of the Almighty King to grow His Kingdom on earth.
The prayer workshop focused on sharing the biblical foundations of prayer as we looked at the golden thread of prayer throughout the scriptures. We also looked at different models of prayer that are practical and effective in growing our relationship with The Lord.
