I joined Alpha through my elder sister. From the first day of attendance I found the environment to be welcoming and the people to be very warm. My reason for doing Alpha was that I wanted to take my faith to the next level. Sessions went by and I discovered that I did not have the faith that I was saying I wanted to elevate. I realised that I served God according to my knowledge but not according to His will.
Today what I have achieved through doing Alpha is that I read my Bible everyday for spiritual enrichment and I now have a partner to pray with as well. I have asked God to bury my sinful past. I understand the power of confession now. I felt the Holy Spirit touching me and felt God's forgiveness. I love Alpha - Dorcas Malebye
