On Friday 18th and Saturday 19th January we were
very privileged to have Francis Dodd from Ghana join us to run Youth Alpha
Training in Drakenstein prison, and Franschhoek community respectively.
Francis
is the Youth Alpha Coordinator for Africa. The Chaplin at Drakenstein prison
arranged for all of his spiritual workers to be there, along with some of the
spiritual worker volunteers from Pollsmoor Prison who attended the Drakenstein
training.
The day was filled with learning and laughter as the people were taught about the basic
principles of Alpha. They also played many games that make Youth Alpha so unique and fun. Francis’ expertise and
wisdom were greatly appreciated and loved by all 25 guests at the prison
training, and 65 guests at the community training.
